I had several loans on the same home in Florida, as well as a home in New York, with EquiCredit. This past year I was notified that it is now Fairbanks Capital; however, my agreement changed, and I should have been given a 'Right to Notice.' Now each time I contact Fairbanks for a payoff figure, they add a $50.00 fee to the balance of my loan, on which of course they charge interest. The late fees are out of this world. Unlike EquiCredit, they send notices almost at once about losing the home if you are late. I never received any prior to them.
They took forever to send my refund on my overpayment when my home was paid in full back in April. I currently have the home in Florida on the market. Where are the Feds and the Florida State Attorney General?
