I just read a report that has been filed against CitiMortgage. My husband and I also have a home loan that started with Nationwide Mortgage and was then switched to CitiMortgage. We have been paying on our home for approximately 11 years. When we finished a bankruptcy in which we made our house payments, we began to make the payments directly to CitiMortgage.
I just received a letter from CitiMortgage saying that we did not reaffirm our loan after the bankruptcy, and something about a security clause. I do not know what they are talking about. According to our attorney, I guess CitiMortgage is claiming that we have not been making the payments. That is so wrong. We have been making our payments since day one. I have copies of checks where the payments were made to them.
Now they are threatening to foreclose on our home. We have nowhere to go. I do not know what can be done to this company, but something sure needs to happen. We cannot lose our home. If there is anyone out there who can help us, please do. This company needs to be stopped. They are ruining people's lives.
