My house was inspected by an Allstate photographer for an update. They told me to remove a hose for my washing machine that was hanging out of my window and going into my front yard. A plumber had come to my house and told me the drain water just went out into a dredge field that went out into the yard anyway. Six months later, I had forgotten about the hose, and Allstate informed me they were going to drop my coverage in 90 days. So I paid a plumber to come in and fix the drainage problem, and I then informed Allstate that the issue was fixed. They told me, too bad, if I wanted to keep my insurance with them, I would have to buy not only homeowners insurance but also my car insurance with them (which was at a cheaper rate with another company than with them). I said no way, that is blackmail, and they said too bad. So I had to buy my homeowners insurance with another company. I was a customer of this company for 20 years. This is how they treat their loyal customers.
