Yahoo Messenger 9 should not be installed. It installs the Yahoo toolbar and changes your home page without asking for permission. I have no idea what else they install without asking. I have been a Yahoo user since the mid-1990s, but that is about to come to an end. This is not the first time they have tried to hijack my desktop, and I am starting to get tired of it. The annoyance of dealing with them is getting close to exceeding the advantages.
