To whom it may concern:
Our Petco ordeal started at our family Christmas get-together on Dec 16th with a leaky fish tank for our youngest daughter and the worst customer service, from one Anthone K. Schwartz. He single-handedly ruined our family Christmas by not properly handling a leaky fish tank, which meant we had to stop everything to drain and return into town, losing time with family we may not see for years.
After all the fish died, we learned that two of the sucker fish we bought were sold with "ich" (ick). They were all infected at the store, and the white stuff that we were told was normal is not. We were in the process of refilling her tank with new guppies when our daughter said, "Mom, why do all the fishes' tails have ouies?" Sure enough, they looked like they were in a war. When we asked the West Bend, WI Petco "experts" what was going on, they responded, "Ohh yeah, we have them in with another fish that attacks the guppies." What! Right? So they knowingly sell sick fish and put any old fish in any old tank.
What started as a customer service complaint has now turned into seeking compensation for what is a small fortune for us, after running back and forth into town, all the misinformation they gave us, a lost Christmas, and hours on the phone to no avail. Robin Rueters refuses to contact us, and Matt Anzules seems nonexistent.
To stop this atrocity that they enact on these poor creatures, please help us any way you can. We have been trying endlessly to contact James M. Myers and Bruce C. Hall. It does not seem to matter how much we try at corporate; we cannot even get hold of Matt Anzules or the regional rep Robin Reuter. If we can get this mistreatment and worst customer service on the radar, maybe we can start getting things fixed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Calls, forwarding of this email, anything!
