Email lookup shows searcher's own IP and a guessed name

Hi,

I searched an e-mail address on Google and Spokeo came up. They showed an IP address and the persons name and ", USA".

I later realized that the IP address was actually my IP address, I tried a few e-mail addresses and it kept on coming up the same number. The I went to myipadddress.com and the same # came up.

As for the name, all they do is take out the numbers from the address, i.e. Let us say your email address is [email protected], the will take out the 1989 and give you the name as johndoe.

I hope this helps you.
