Contacted ATT Uverse to order TV & Internet service on 10/8/10 and set up installation for 10/29/10. I live in Coral Springs, FL, and was "guaranteed" that I was within the coverage area. I was told by two neighbors that ATT was not available and when I re-contacted ATT, they once again "guaranteed" they did offer service at my address.
The local ATT tech called me this morning (day of installation) only to tell me all my neighbors were correct, ATT was wrong. Service can not be provided at my address. I spoke with his local supervisor (another ATT employee) who said he is equally upset with his own company because they refuse to correct the wrong information. This is basic fraud and an attempt at bait and switch. ATT tried to sell me on other products. Why can a company sell you a package that doesn't exist? How can a company give a guarantee and then decide not to stand by that guarantee?
