I went to this company's website and asked for information. For the next week a woman named Victoria called me non stop. I did not answer the phone as it was a Florida number and knew it had to be a sales person. One night my husband answered it and gave me the phone. I ended up being completely taken in by "Vicky". Though I had already talked to many companies about selling my timeshare, I knew they were a scam. Vicky sounded completely different. She told me because people came to Daytona year after year, they were looking for timeshares and she would have no problem selling it. At that point I had already talked to my timeshare, and had received the papers needed to be signed and notarized to give them back my timeshare, free of charge, so I would not have to pay the yearly fees every year, that I could no longer afford. This year the fees were over $800.00. The timeshare was near Orlando and who wants to go to Orlando every year? What sold me when I bought it was the fact that I could use a time share in many countries all over the world. They talk so fast they don't give you time to really hear the facts. I did not know I would be paying RCIyearly, plus deposit fees$100 each to deposit my year at the timeshare then another $100.00 to pay for the use of another timeshare. Also, you need to pay extra for electric use at most places. This is all beside the point.
The Point Is, Vicky turned out to be one of these slick timeshare people. Boy was she slick. I told her I could not afford the maintenance fees and she told me she would start working on selling it the next day (this was the end of September) and would easily have it sold before my maintenance fees were due. I asked her how far Kissammee was from Daytona and she said 1/2 hour. I later looked it up and it is about an hour and 1/4 to and hour and 1/2. Another lie. She gave me her license #, her cell phone #, the company #, and on and on. She said the $998.00 fee up front was to pay for the fees to put people up for three days, just as we had been put up in a nice hotel when we first bought the timeshare. That made sense to me-I believed her. I AM A SUCKER! She said she would actively sell this face to face to people who they put up and who came to them for the required sales pitch. She told me how good she was, how she was 50 years old and she was going to retire at 60. She said how much she liked my name and that she was going to call me Mary Ashley. Blah blah blah-I was sold.
I then had the phone call after this with someone recording it and my agreeing to it. This all happened because I Trusted this woman. I believed her.
When I heard nothing from them I called her cell phone several times. I left messages, and twice she answered. She obviously did not know who I was, and said both times, you mean no one has called you? I will have them call you at 5pm. The second time she said this I said that's what you said last time and noone called. She said she was busy at the moment with a sale but would be sure someone called me at 5pm when the sale floor closed. Again, noone did. I ended up quickly giving my timeshare back to Silver lake, as they said I only had a week to do so-because even though my dues were nopt due until January 1, I had to give it back BEFORE they sent out the bill, or I would be liable for the yearly fees.
I tried a dispute through my credit card company, but because I had called her on her cell phone, thinking she was my representative, the company could prove I never called them. (I thought since she represented the company, calling her was the best thing to do. When I called the company they would always say she was not available
They had my recording and a faxed signature from me.
When I called them yesterday, the man I spoke to who handled my dispute, was so arrogant and cocky and rude. Bill is his name. Yes I ws mad and I raised my voice to him. And boy did he get nasty to me. I asked how they lived with themselves. He just got madder and said why did you call Vicky and not the companyI called Vicky because to me she represented the company and she led me to believe that calling her was the way to get results. Hah! I will never be scammed again. Thank God I gave my timeshare back. At least I didn't lose the $998.00 PLUS my timeshare fees. Do not trust these people. Anything positive you read about them is written by them. Scammers big time-and legal. I am one of those trusting types-or I was. Now I have really learned how cold and calculating people can be. Vicky knew that I was broke-how can she live with herself? How do any of the people who work there live with themselves? Yes I am sure they have sold some timeshares for some people, but I read yesterday that they had to disclose the fact that-:"Our sale percentage for the prior 2 year period is less than 1/10th of 1%.

It also has a D rating by the BBB-and they are not endorsed by the BBB.in this economy, I wouldn't trust ANYONE company to sell your timeshare-but this one is so good at scamming -especially poor suckers like me. I am sick inside. I cannot afford this. Karma will get all those working in this business. That is a big comfort to me. I know their day will come.
