I thought that getting a deal on a first class flight was as easy as the agent made it out to be, but boy was I mistaken. I called about 2 months ago for 3 first class tickets, talked with the agent and he said he would get right on it. 3 weeks go by and I call him again. He claims to have had an amazing deal, but could not get a hold of me. He claims to have called and sent e mails. What are the chances that they both would not work.

Next he looked again and found flights, first class only on two of the 4 legs, waitlisted the others. He quoted $1700 per ticket and he would try to call the airline the next day, Saturday." oh they were closed, we will need to wait till Monday." Monday comes, oh the price has gone up by $300 per ticket. I say i can't do it, it is out of my budget and he comes up with a $200 voucher per ticket, making the net increase only $100 per. I say ok and he sends the itinerary and the " ticket release form." I read it and pay all squared away right, wrong.

The itinerary and release for e-mail states that as soon as I sign and submit the form I will then receive the E tickets. Monday goes by, Tuesday comes, I send an e-mail wondering where the e tickets are, no response. Wed comes another e-mail, still no response, Thursday, another, no response, Friday another, and finally he sends one and he claims he was out of the office and he was surprised that no one else took care of it, and could he do it on Monday. Fine!

Monday comes, nothing. Tuesday he sends a message saying the tickets were issued incorrectly and that he would take care of it. Another week goes by, I am sending e-mail everyday with sporadic responses. Oh he is still working on it, or consolidator is working it out. Another week goes by, now I am getting mad. I am trying to get a supervisor with terrible results. I call them, they disconnect me, a dozen or more times. Rude personnel needing to know why I want to speak to a supervisor.

Finally I get the supervisor to e-mail me back after a scathing letter to him and he calls me. He says he personally take care of it. Claimed UA made the mistake and they would reissue tickets no problem, yeah right. UA claims that Wholesale booked us on a flight that did not exist. Lol. Another 4 days go by, I get a message: " I am working on an e-mail to you with the updated itinerary." 4 more days go by and nothing from him. The super e-mails me stating the ticket change was harder than he thought, but the I would receive everything today.

The original agent sends me itineraries for 2, yes 2 of us, and only 2 of us, not even the itinerary that I signed off on and paid for. Yep you heard right. I send him a message, where is the third one? No response.

So I decide to call UA to get to the bottom of this, they tell me everything about the booking. The agent's screw-up, and the fact that only 2 of the 3 tickets have the first class seats. The other ticket is economy the whole way with no waitlist. It was originally all three with first class, but when he screwed up the booking he took the voucher for first class away and made it economy.

I am now furious, 4 weeks and it is still not right. I paid for a specific itinerary, with the 2 first class flights and waitlisted for the others and that is not what they gave me.

I filed a dispute with the CC company. I sent them the original itinerary that I signed off on and the current itinerary. I told them I paid for 3 first class tickets and only received 2. They are mad for me and are going to dispute the Wholesale flights charges, and leave the UA charges for now. I'll see what happens next.

Stay away, only trouble can come of it!
