Hotwire spoiled my upcoming vacation by deceptive listing and by overstating the amount saved. I expected to purchase a room in an exclusive area of Playa de Carmen, Mexico and they list this area correctly as "Playacar".
Instead they sold me a non-refundable room north of the city and in a less than attractive area for a price that was only 6% less than I could have booked this at the resorts own website (they advertised 70% savings). If anyone is thinking of using this site for their Mexican beach vacation I advise them to think again.
