Just like you guys I was ripped off too, but this was 2 years ago I lost over 3,500 GBP and if there is a chance of clawing it back I will try, I have e-mails and stamp dated Items from these crooks, They took money from my account when I told them not to. I could write a book on them. I wonder if everyone joins forces we can nail these villans.
If only we knew, they send their dogbodies to go and look for victims in the hotels who they can scam, how do these people sleep at night?
As you probably know as we didn't at the time that we were lied to just for the sake to get a commission on our sale.
Looking at all the communication with lifestyle since we told them we wanted to cancel because we were lied too saying we would get all our documentation information by post by the time we would arrive home from our 2 week holiday, when i contacted them after the 3rd week they told me it would take 8-12 weeks!
By then i had lost the 2 clients that were interested in buying weeks from me, as they could not wait that long.
They never said that we couldn't cancel but were trying to justify if we did we would lose our money because of the upgrade that we got and any amenities.
In our defence we stated nowhere in the contract doe's it say that we couldn't cancel or that we had to pay for any upgrade or amenities because we didn't ask for them they were given to us. Then they seemed to forget about using that idea.
They tried everything they possibly could, they even accused us of fraud to justify there case and proceeded with taking the first months payment against my wishes. They then tried to offer us a weeks villa fee ($699) on which we declined and still wanted our refund.
Then said it would take 5 days to get back to us to give us an answer because we still wanted to cancel.
They told us they didn't receive e-mails that they absolutely did, because they replied to one of the ones they apparently "didn't" receive.
They finally got back to us after us perusing them all the time, telling us some unbelievable rubbish that we can not cancel because we were told by a man named thomas before we signed! Who is thomas? We never spoke to anyone named thomas about cancelling?! And that we are now "active" members now to RCI. But the date we informed them that we wanted to cancel was the 3rd of september, and from looking at our RCI members card is shows the 5th of september. Yet another lie and scam. They have frozen our account until we can find a positive way of using our weeks.
The funniest thing about this on doing some research i found out that they use the same tactics on some other buyers. Such as they we told by a man called thomas that they couldn't cancel, and being active members now.
We must put a stop to this NOW
