US Airways
Airport. Here's a true story about US airways

We were on our way to Europe for our vacation in May of this year, so we took U.S. Airways to fly there. When we boarded the plane, the stewardesses were rude and disrespectful from the beginning. To be clear, this has nothing to do with race, but all of the stewardesses, except one, were black. However, even the one white stewardess was extremely rude, so there are implications for both.

For instance, there was this young woman who was in regular business class, and she complained to a stewardess who was in first class, about an elderly lady sitting next to her, stating that the elderly woman had a fever and a head cold. When the stewardess came by, she was outright mean to the elderly couple and made a spectacle, saying if people hear you say you have a fever it's your fault. Do you have a fever? Are you retracting your statement? This was not done in a kind, diplomatic fashion but she was quite harsh. The elderly woman just said she wasn't feeling well. The young lady who reported the statement said that she didn't want to sit next to the elderly couple any longer. The white stewardess then pointed her finger at the elderly couples husband and said "you owe her an apology because you were rude to her." Evidently, the young lady had also complained that they were rude. How is it that a stewardess can demand an apology to this elderly couple as if they were little children? Isn't an apology supposed to be voluntary? The stewardesses demeanor was causing a scene and was outright shameful. The poor elderly couple were nicely dressed, sweet and the older man was merely sticking up for his wife. A real crude display of customer service and compassion.

That's not all, while watching movies on the screens in front of us, one of them went out and we asked a flight attendant for help. She said that they would reset it and it would be back on in 10 minutes. Well, another one of our screens went out, and the stewardesses never reset them. One of us in our group went to the back of the plane where all of the stewardesses were hanging out, and overheard one of them saying, "Now that Obama is President, we don't have to take any crap." What a pitiful attitude to have. This was one of the black ladies. Asking for your screen to be reset isnt asking for much, considering the long flight. These stewardesses went out of their way to be purposely callous to the simplest request.

When the plane was landing, an older man was going to use the bathroom and another stewardess said out loud in front of the crowd "excuse me, sir! You need to go back to your seat." Then again, on the long international flight, a tall man, possibly in his early forties was standing in the isle. A black stewardess, possibly named Brenda or Pat (when asking for a name, it had changedthey did not wear name tags but only had their flight attendant badges on) said to the white man, what are you doing? He said with a smile on his face Im stretching my legs she then said very rudely, excuse me! And walked passed him with no attempt of being courteous. When walking back to his seat, he raised his eyebrows as if to say,

Whats wrong with her?

Interestingly enough, when we were on the plane, the lady in front of us said that she didnt want to fly

US Airways because she had a bad experience going to the Dominican Republic because the flight attendants were rude, and this was a couple of years prior. Now this was her second bad experience. Then, in a random conversation once we reached our destination, we were at a restaurant, and a two other ladies stated that when flying from Philadelphia, they had bad experiences with US Airways with flight attendants. WOW! US Airways, you need to over-haul your flight attendants.

The only good things were that the food was good (although the service was terrible) and the pilots were great.
