Universal Adventure USA Scam - Misrepresentation - Layers - Rip-off Company in Georgia selling to Florida

I was contacted by Phone by a person saying it's from Universal Adventure, congratulating me fro winning a vacation in Florida. She presented me the voucher: 2 days in Orlando and 2 days at Daytona Beach an extra 3 days in Bahamas. I was also promised 4 free tickets to both Universal Studios and Island of Adventure. After 30 minutes talking they asked me the CCR no for verification.

As I was hesitant, she persuaded me to give them the no, otherwise I would not have been able to travel to USA (I am from Quebec, Canada). I gave her my credit card number and after a few minutes they said that I have to pay 500$ for the voucher. When I asked her what this means, because it's a vacation I won, why should I pay, and if I receive my money back, she said that they already charged my credit card with that amount and that the money is nonrefundable.

Because I found this very strange, I called immediately my credit company to report the fraud, and I sent them an e-mail to cancel the purchase. They immediately called me and they started to threaten me they will go in a lawsuit against me, because this is not a refundable voucher and I don't have the right to cancel it!!?? They also said that they have a record with me agreeing with the purchase and that my credit card company had already listen that record and everything was ok for them, so I can't do anything...

As I was not satisfied with the answer, I called the Consumer department in Quebec: Office de la protection des consommateurs, who said that this kind of scams are well-known, because it was an unsolicited call, I had the right to cancel it and if they don't agree with it, the credit company will be in charge with recovering the amount I paid... So I did exactly what they told me, and I spoke with the Security coordinators from my CC company, and he told me that what Universal Adventure said, that the CC company listen to some record, was a lay. They also said that I am covered for this fraud, and I received my money back...

So, in conclusion: calls from Universal Adventure USA from Georgia are a big lay and a big fraud!!! This company has also deceptive sales practice, used oral misrepresentation and high pressure tactics to get my credit card number and to persuade me to not cancel the purchase...

P.S.: I found reports related to theirs phone numbers: (877) 800-0688 and (912) 264-6043.
