I just want to say thank you all very much. I was one of the ones who got the "deal" in the mail.
After reading it I thought that maybe it was because of the fact that I already own a time share poperty. So I got on the net to look up info on this trip and the first thing that poped up was this website.
Yesterday after listening to the 30 min explination about the trip and keeping me on the line after I said no thank you that I had a time share, I was very happy with it and that I didnt need another one the sales person started in a calm voice but demening told me that I would be stupid to pass this up.
After a long day of talking with people, putting together deals and a lot of computer time, typing and time and phone time I didnt want to deal with this. Then I started to think, hey, me and my girlfriend will be out in Florida in Oct for my best friends wedding and that me and her have never taking a nice vaction together. So after hearing the deal and how great it was and in a "nice" deming way that I shouldnt pass this up I agreed, it sound so great.
I then gave him my credit card info but not my major card, my debit card (didnt want the intrest on something that I already had in the bank). So 50 mins later and them taking my card twice I was told that the deposit was 698.00 for the first ticket and I would pay the rest 60 days before departure.
Then I was told that I had also received the 2 extra vactions and that the deal now was extended to 3 years to use it, also I was given 2 meals a day free while in Orlando and Ft. Lauderdale. So I agreed to all and gave them the card, as they where finishing and I was thinking hey this might be a good deal, so as we are hanging I went on to try and say think you and it was nice dealing with, she just hung up on me, should have been a sign right there.
So today I check the internet and find all this, I then checked my account and found that the charge hadnt gone through yet, so I called the bank right then and notified them of my situation and wanted to put a stop to this before they charged me, she told me that I would have to cancle my card, not my account just the card, I said fine and said go for it, anything to stop all this. As she is doing this she asked me the name of the company, I told he and she went on to say, oh them. She told me that there had been lots of problems with them and my bank and that there had been reports and proof of reacuring charges to the account up to $1600.00 unatherized.
Lucky for me I have a great bank (Bank Of America, sorry had to name drop) and that not only did they tell me what to do but went on with details about what they have seen and the scam that seems to be going on with them. So after reading all the reports in here I think I am the lucky one and if you are reading this and you just did it yesterday, cancel now, you do have rights to your money if they did take it but only so long and then it will be a fight, the faster and sooner you do this the easier it will be. Ps, after reading all this and cancleing my card I then got on line and found a better deal by half, all you have to do is go on line or if you belong to Sams Club or cost co go to there travel people, you can get a cruise and all the above on a "real" cruise ship and all the things that RPR promissed for alot less or depending on how nice you want the cruise/vacation for the same amount as their discounted rate.
Good luck to all and to RPR and anyone who works for them, you will have your day when you are scewed and you will be judged in the end, not by us as consumers, but by you know who, good luck scum bag jerks, and please try and call me again, I will give you something for your "recorded" phone call.
