Like many others, I applied for free Universal passes through a survey site.instead of getting my passes, I got a very pushy sales person trying to sell my a vacation I didn't want. At first it seemed like it was free - which I didn't believe. But I kept listening.
Then it transpired that I would get the package if I gave my credit card details there and then and paid them $498. This was 18 minutes into the phonecall. I declined at that point, making it clear that I would not want to commit any money over the phone.
The sales person got quite aggresive with me, wanting to know why I hadnm't just hung up earlier if I wasn't interested. When I reminded him that I had made it clear that I wan't going ahead as soon as he mentioned the credit card payment, he hung up on me! I am guessing that these people are working on commission and he was bummed that he had wasted his time!
Regarding the passes for Universal Studios - I went to the website and entered the pin number the sales guy had given me. Sure enough, I could print the vouchers - but wait - what's this in the small print - I can pick up the vouchers after attending a 90 presentation on the advantages of... TIMESHARE!
This is a timeshare scam and a vacation rip off - BEWARE!
