Poor customer service

I placed an order on 12/15/10 for a xmas gift for my grandson. The website made no indication that the scooter parts were not in stock. I received an immediate order confirmation by email. I followed up with an email asking for shipping status. I never received a response and never any shipping status.

I followed up with a phone call two days later and they would not answer their phone - "a message said essentially we're too busy"

By the 20th I was desperate and tracked down the cell phone of one of the owners and texted a request for shipping info. I got a return reply that all shipments would go out in time for xmas.

The parts did not arrive.

I called every day and left messages by phone and email with no reply.By the 31st I still had not received the parts or a response.

On the 3rd of January I got someone on the phone who said they had just received the parts.

I filed a paypal complaint/dispute and they shipped on the 6th. But they shipped to my billing address and not my shipping address so FEDEX tried to deliver to an office that was closed and after two attempts advised me to pay $11 to redirect the shipment. Naturally I could not get a response via email or phone from Kota to help correct the problem.

It is now day 27 after the order and I still do not have the order. Kota has had my money for 27 days - $177 - and my grandson thinks that I am FOS.

I have committed my life to gaining satisfaction for this poor customer service.
