I contacted gokartsusa.com by phone on 12/6/10 regarding a BMS king cobra dune buggy, blue. It would not take our order on the internet so I called and they could not figure out the problem. I explained we were getting this dune buggy for Christmas from Santa and wanted to have time to get it here and put together. He explained it may ship the same day or day after if I got a wire transfer by 12/7/10, so we did. I called to confirm they had received it and they did.
On 12/8/10, we received an email that our order had shipped and that it would take 2-5 days for the high performance CDI and 3-10 days for the dune buggy itself. They explained the trucking company would call re: delivery. We called on friday 12/17, monday 12/20, tuesday 12/21 and were told that item was back ordered but they believed they were all shipped. He explained they would never guarantee a 10 day shipment and it would be 3 weeks. He sent my number to customer service which was closed at 4:30.
12/22, I called at 1:30 and spoke to a customer service rep who advised my order slipped through the cracks and had not been shipped yet. He did not know how because it never happened before. I asked if there was a discount that could be given due to the huge mistake as there was no way they could get it to me by Christmas but could within 3 - 5 days. He called me back and stated the owners said no discounts could be provided and he would do his best to get it to us by at least shipping it out today and providing us with the name of the trucking company.
If you call and get anyone on the phone, you are very lucky. It is busy, routes you to a recording that indicates you should call back and recommends that most things be done through their website which is also full of empty places to go. For the most part, their is no customer service and bunch of people who nothing about anything. Very disappointed and heartbroken for my kid.
