I "sold" this duche bag my Traxxas T-Maxx on Craigs list November 9th. I actually drove to his house to deliver the the truck and when I got there, he said that he only had a check to pay me with. Usually I wouldn't take a check, but he assured me it would clear and if it didn't, I knew where he lived so I could come after him. So after a couple weeks, I get the check returned to me in the mail and it says the account that the check was written from had been closed. I immediatly called him and he swore up and down that it was an accident and that it was his moms fault cause she worte the check out of the worng account and that he would have the money to me in a couple days. A few days go by and nothing... So I call again and he says I'll have the money tomorrow my buddy owes me $600 and he's coming to give it to me I'll call you... Couple days go by and nothing... So I emailed him telling him that I need some sort of collateral so that I know that I will get the $210 he owes me. He emails back and says he has a brand new I Phone that he will bring to my house the next day... Think he showed up the next day? So I called the next day and said I'm coming to his house to pick up all the crap I gave him and he say's no you can't the engine for the truck is at my neighbors house I'll have it tomorrow... So the next day I call and there's no answer from email ([email protected]) or the house number (714-970-2148). While at work, I'm looking on craigs list to see how much I should sell this thing for when I get it back and what do I see? My fricken truck up for sell in Yorba Linda from some guy named Nick? I was sooo pissed. I call the house on my way home from work and get some cracked out lady on the phone who says he's not home and that I should call this number: 714-809-6754. Low and behold this number is Nick's Dad who goes on to tell me that Nick owes a ton of money to a lot of people. I told him if he doesn't get his son to give me the money he owes me I'm gonna file a police report and he told me that that's what I should do... So last night December 7th I said screw it and drove to his house and confronted him... I asked him where the hell my stuff was and that I wanted it right then. He said that the truck is all in pieces and that I could come back tomorrow to pick it up. I said hell no give me what you have right now... So I ended up with what looks like 3 T-Maxx trucks all in pieces which I'm gonna try to put back together and sell.
I think I'm still gonna file a police report so that he'll think twice before doing to anybody else again.
