My son called on an ad. Mr. DiPaolo asked to talk to me as it would be my credit card. He told me that the flyers would generate money and that it would only cost $90/month. However, with the money my son made, it would actually cost nothing.
When I asked him what these flyers were promoting. He acted annoyed, talked very fast saying that it was no risk, my son would make money. I kept asking him what they were promoting but I got more clever fast talk. I gave him my credit card information.
After a half hour, my son and I decided it sounded shady, so my son called (after he found the number), and Mr. DiPaolo told him the shipment had already gone out. I thought I could just refuse the delivery, which I did, but by then Citi card had already posted $990 on my credit card-NOT $90!
Just as others who have been ripped off by this company (which I just discovered), he too offered me half the money back. But, I didn't want anything to do with the company and offered to reimburse him for the delivery fee. CitiBank said they could not order someone to reimburse me and the matter was closed.
I have tried to reach the company, but they did not return correspondence. I never saw the product and I still don't know what they were promoting.
I would be very interested in cooperating with a class action suit.
