Global Solutions Inc., Phoenix, Arizona Smooth talkers with questionable service who get your money with no recourse for even partial refund

I wish there was a true group called "Leverage" that I could ask for help regarding CDR Group Inc., aka Global Resources Inc., Phoenix, Arizona, but unfortunately that's only fantasy. Fantasy and disappointment is what I and my wife have recently experienced utilizing this company. They make "assurances" about positive employment results in a short period of time if you use their "techniques" and scheme. How wrong they are. This experience has emotionally distressed me and my wife as we're now at a loss financially with this business' tactics. They successfully "duped" me and others as I've read, for over $3,000. That is translated to three months of my earned college salary in China.

First off, I do not recommend this company if you're seeking employment as they are not an employment agency and they tell you that, however, they tell you continually that using the internet for job seeking is not good as your resume "goes into a cyber hole" never to be viewed. It's interesting how that if you mention it when you're trying to recover some dignity and even a partial refund of your $3,000 investment with them, that they somehow mention in their rebuttal to your written request for refund reasoning that "some companies do require that a person apply on line - this is out of our control" and deny any refund.

CDR Group Inc., aka GSI Inc., aka, Global Resources Inc., makes postings on CareerBuilder and other "Employment" internet sites. I advise you to avoid any responses to those "carefully crafted" postings as they are not employers. I responded to a posting in Educational Leadership thinking that I was applying for a viable position. They've posted similar notices in various categories of other occupations.in fact, they are not employers and how CareerBuilder and Business employment sites allow them to post is beyond me, but I imagine there's some loophole that authorizes it.

Now, having opened with the above mentioned, let me "assure" you that CDR Group Inc., is a "carefully crafted" company that preys upon those of us who "appear" to have a background with the financial means to be "contacted" by their "cold callers" for their "pitch" in service. Of course, their goal is to get your money. Once they've got it, you'll never see it again, no matter. When I asked them about other complaints that I saw on the internet Mr. Randall-CEO denied they existed and said it was other companies with same name.interesting, there must be "other companies" with Brian Randall-CEO of CDR Inc. What a coincidence.

In my case, I had returned to the USA after teaching college students in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. I lived and successfully taught in China since 2004 and was happy to lead in college however my Chinese wife wanted to come to America and "realize" her dream of living and experiencing our country. I love my wife, so, despite my cautions to her about the employment market, we arrived at the end of July. As I mentioned, it took me three months to earn in China what I paid them for "assurances" of immediate employment if I used their techniques. What a farce!

Mr. Randall now denies ever making any oral "assurances" to my wife and I while also referring to the written agreement words "it is understood by both parties that no verbal or written promise or guarantee of employment is made or implied under the terms of the contract" which does not address his "assurances" given about employment. Correct, they don't promise you a job but they do orally "assure" you that if you use their techniques you'll be employed soon. He denied this in his response letter to me which I had asked for a refund as his "assurances" did not materialized. They did "waive" the final payment of $500 which was due in February. Wow... I feel so heart-whelmed. This company has nothing substantial to offer but disappointment to the unsuspecting client.

You can get much better assistance utilizing a much lesser expensive resume and cover letter firm or even designing your own utilizing books and suggestions from the "internet" mind you. The "tag team" at CDR all "brow-beat" job searching via the internet and manipulate your thinking into their job seeking schemes. Don't respond to any postings from CDR as you'll be wasting you money and time. They straddle the line on dishonest practices and present you with PPT's that are meaningless and outdated. I've taught more current employment practices to my students in China and they've been successful in gainful employment.

After settling in the Phoenix area, I originally applied for a Educational Consulting position via CareerBuilder. I received a call from Johnny Eddins, VP-CDR Inc., who arranged to meet with
me on or about the 31st of July. However, I had to reschedule for the 2nd of August. During our meeting, he told me that I had unique experience and credentials and even wrote those words on a copy of my resume which I had twice previously given him. He assured me that I would be easily employed earning above $75,000 if I used CDR, due to the fact that I had not been unemployed for very long. As I wrote above, we had recently arrived in USA from China. It seemed he was genuine and helpful but also, in retrospect, much too "assuring" with my employment prospects and that with my skills I'd be easily employed with two months using CDR techniques. I must say that my immediate impression of him reminded me somehow of the used car salesmen you'd see on TV in the 60's in Los Angeles.

This company relies on an outdated PowerPoint presentation that they simply read from their computer monitor and very little "face to face" consulting and some hopeful "assurances" that you'll get that high paying position soon.

He assured me that I would be employed within two months, given my background. He also
told me of the fees and said that I would make three payments, 1st initial $1,025 and two weeks later another $1,025, then the 3rd $1,025 in one month with a final payment of $500 after six months. Mr. Eddins also told me that utilizing the internet would only result in my applications going
into a black hole in which no one would read. Additionally, he told me that CDR had companies that frequently call them for employees and also for consulting, perhaps just to build my trust in the firm.

After discussing and sharing information about what I knew then with my wife at home, I subsequently called back to CDR and requested to speak with Mr. Eddins in order to proceed to the next step. I was told by the receptionist that he was not available and was redirected to speak with Brian Randall-CEO. To date, I have never heard back nor seen Mr. Eddins.

My wife accompanied me to the meeting with Mr. Randall. The very 1st thing that happened was his request for two payments of $1,025; one immediately for $1,025 and another for $1,025 that would be posted in four days. This by the way was in contrast to what Mr. Eddins had previously told me. We made the payment using our account from China as we had not yet transferred our savings to a USA bank and had not enough cash in our recently opened USA bank account to make this expenditure. An assistant had my wife sign the 2nd $1,025 credit card payment for 08/22. The 3rd payment of $1,025 was scheduled to be charged from our account in China on 9/10. She now says "they cheat us" and for those of you of Asian descent you can imagine what those sentiments are about.

There's more, but I'm sure by now, you get the meat of what I'm conveying here. Don't waste your hard-earned and/or saved money with CDR Group Inc., aka GSI, aka Global Resources, Inc., Phoenix, Arizona. I even sent an email to Mr. Randall stating that I'd take a polygraph as to what he denies saying during our "payment" meeting. Shame on you Mr. Randall. As my wife said, "you cheated us" and I hope no one gets cheated again by CDR. Beware of this company! They certainly are not worth the money. They're only good is to streamline your resume but they don't make it inclusive to all of your experience. They make errors too, so if you do use them, please review what they wrote very carefully as they'll not accept fault if there are errors. They'll blame you for failure and not accept any responsibility.

I tried their techniques for three months and was told by "several" of the mailings they sent me to mail off to "internet accessed" companies to view their on-line web sites. So, virtually you're doing the same thing as CDR recommends you don't do. Go to the internet and apply on-line.
