My name is Shawn Russell. I have never opened an account or ever signed any agreement with Fingerhut. My wife had a fingerhut account before we were married. We were not married at the time the account was opened / or active. But my credit report shows that I owe Fingerhut almost $2,000. Not only does this show up once - but fingerhut sold it to a collection agency and now it is on there twice.
It is impossible to talk with anyone from this company. I have followed the directions on the automated system - but have had no luck. I have faxed letters stating that I am trying to purchase a home and cannot do so until the matter is settled but have had no reply. This is the most dishonest company I have ever dealt with.
