Services were retained via phone and internet. A copy of the retainer agreement states that the retainer fee would be refunded in full if the Campbell Law Firm was unsuccessful in mediating a loan modification.
Contact with the law firm was never a problem until we received notice from the mortgage company that the modification was denied due to lack of certain documentation being submitted. At that point, it was as if the law firm no longer existed.
Now, we have found out that though the law firm is located in Florida but not licensed to practice in Florida. We don't know of any recourse other than another lawyer to be retained for a potential wild goose chase.
