Kramer and Frank
Sharks doesn't even accurately describe this company

First of all, if you are being sued by this company, call them, and record everything they say, who you spoke to, what day and time it was you called and write down EVERYTHING they say to you. Chances are you will begin with can we settle this out of court, can I make payment arrangements or whatnot. I lost my job in and due to injuries I have been out of work and unable to work since. I live on child support and basic housing allowance from my husband who is deployed with the US Navy. I do admit I defaulted on an automobile loan. I asked them to come get the car, I offered them to repo it as I couldn't afford to drive, license, or pay the taxes on it anyway. They denied me this option saying my car wasn't worth what was owed on it..$5,000.00 was left on the loan. They say they are representing Ford, and Ford never once tried to come get the car to repo it not once. It was turned over to these "people" for collections. I explained my situation and I mine as well have been talking to my dog, they didn't care about my situation, my inability to pay, or my family's well being.

So I went to court as ordered in the summons... Which by the way was served to my neighbor when they didn't ever come to my door. At least that is what they "said they did". I explained my situation to the judge and the attorney representing them was at least helpful enough to accept I plead guilty to breach of contract, and told me to go out to set up payment plans with thier representative outside the court room. I explained I am on a very tight budget with medical bills, surgeries, and basic living expenses, and could only pay a small amount at that time. He wrote down my info, and told me to call Kramer and Frank and set up the payment arrangement with them.

I did, I was then rudely told they couldn't accept what I offered to pay them "that that amount was unacceptable it would take forever to repay the amount due". I explained that was all I had extra to give until I could work again.in Feb this year, I was on very strong medications and severe pain and scheduled to have back surgery in April. I completely forgot to send in the payments. I admit, this was my fault alone, but I never received a phone call from them, or a letter asking for the payment... It would of jogged my memory, had they taken the trouble to just send a letter.instead, they waited until I was out of the hospital and rent was due and sent a garnishment to my bank to seize the money I had in it. It was my child support money for rent. I was not notififed by my bank until AFTER my account was "frozen". So I had money to pay my rent, and could not get any of it due to this bank garnishment.in Missouri, the rules for garnishment on judgements is 9%, which would of been $90.00 instead they seized 65% of my bank account, leaving me with not even half my rent. Since I don't have wages, and the only money I have in my account is child support I was informed that that was not garnishable... Do they care? Nope. I called bawling on the phone to please set up arrangements now that I was out of the hospital, but was told there was nothing they could do about the garnishement this month. To call them back next month and see if they could set up something then. I was served with an eviction notice. Their customer service is uncaring, as others have posted, they do not care that they are putting people with families out on the streets, they do not care about your situation, only about getting their money. And yet, Ford, GMC, BOA, Wells Fargo and other HUGE companies can get "bail outs" when they can't pay THIER debts... Where is the justice is this?

I suggest to anyone dealing with this company to record everything they say, and do whatever you can to protect your basic needs. Someone suggested closing accounts and having checks for child support or anything else come snail mail... I believe you can cash checks at some places for as little as $3.00 instead of dealing with bank accounts being garnished without notice. This is an uncaring company you will not get anywhere calling them. Make your payments on time every month, hopefully they allow me to reestablish payments next month, and I wont miss another one ever again until the account is paid in full... Which is what one of thier agents suggested, to give them a check for $6,576.00 and they can lift the garnishment on my bank account. If I had had that money I would of paid them in full when I went to court in the first place. I'm not sure if them garnishing my child support is legal but they took it all, and I can't afford an attorney to determine whether or not it is.

My question is, if I have the title to the car, and Ford doesn't want it back, and Kramer and Frank won't repo it... Where can I get rid of it to get anything for it if it's not a clear title. I'm assuming since Ford sued me, it's not a clear title since I owe on it still. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get rid of the car it's been garaged for 4 years, no scratches, dents or motor problems, the AC just doesn't blow. It's a 2004 in great condition other than that, but I just don't know where I can get rid of it so I can take whatever anyone gives me, and apply it to this debt.

Save yourself headaches and hassles, pay what you can, on time, and record EVERYTHING they say if you decide to contact Kramer and Frank, and be prepared for rude, uncooperative, uncaring, and evil employees. They don't care about you, just getting your money. - on a side note, I had read once somewhere that a collection company can not send letters acting like they are an attorney's office, which they did, their letters can not look like it came from an attorney's office, or look like legal forms for suing, they are a collection agency, not lawyers, and their "letters" did in fact look like legal forms, at the very bottom in tiny print it said this is an attempt to collect a debt but at first look it looked like I was being served legal documents, it even said I was being sued by the dealership I bought the car from and I contacted them, they had no records of me anywhere, since I bought the car in 05, they said it was turned over to Ford, Ford said they had nothing to do with it, that Kramer and Frank now owned the debt. But even the garnishment on the bank says, Ford Motor Credit garnished my bank account. Which is it? Ford or Kramer? Uhhgg...

I pity anyone who has to deal with these people, they really are horrible examples of "customer service" representatives. And being the type of person I am, I am fighting with my inner angel and inner devil... Wishing that those who work for Kramer and Frank, have to go through what we go through themselves, but then my inner angel says no wishing bad on others is not right... So dang it.: (
