My sister is in Dallas Tx and went to an Alfred Angelo store to order her dress for my wedding. The dress took longer than we were told to come in, and when it did I almost had a heart attack... The dress was a hideous color (not the one we ordered). The manager said we could have it returned to China and get it back in a couple of weeks which made me nervous but I said ok. The dress should have been in on April 24th which left us little to no time for alterations for my wedding on May 5th. The dress didnt come in on time and every day that I called it was one excuse after another...
My maid of honor and her daughter (my flower girl) went to a dress store in Harker Heights Tx and purchased their dresses. The maid of honor dress came in a couple of days late but no real issue. My issue at this location was the flower girl dress. It came in the wrong color, wrong size and wrong style of dress. Obviously I had to send it back. Once again I was told it would be back in a couple of weeks, but it didnt come in...
Now just so we are clear my complaint is not on the stores but on the distribution center in Florida and the sweat shop in China. The managers at the stores bent over backwards to help me but their hands were tied because the higher ups dont give a damn about you or your wedding. My bridesmaid dress from dallas didnt come in until 2 days before my wedding which was 2 weeks after its promised return date which left no time for alterations. My little sister almost spent my wedding with her boobs falling out of the dress. The flower girl dress didnt even come in! They cancelled the ordered because it never left China even though I was told on numerous occassions that it was in route. So here I am with a bridesmaid dress that doest fit and a flower girl dress that doesnt exist... Whats a girl to do?
I went to my dress maker balling my heart out, she refunded me the money that Alfred Angelo refused to refund for the flower girl dress and then closed her store. We hit the road running looking for a little dress that she could alter to my flower girl. We finally found one with only a day to spare before my wedding and she was up all night trying to fix it. She then came to my wedding where she could meet my out of town sister and fixed her dress before the wedding started. Did I get an apology from Alfred Angelo for their lies or stress? No.infact I didnt even get returned calls. Dont buy from this company. Save yourself the stress and go to a nice little dress store with someone who cares and do your business with them. Yes my dress maker did order my flower girl dress from Alfred Angelo but she was on top of it every day and the moment that the order was cancelled she reached out to me (the corp office didnt even send an email even though they were fully aware of what was going on). Had I ordered my bridal gown from Alfred Angelo instead of having my amazing dress maker do it, I probably would have gotten married in my pajamas. Please do not order from alfred angelo. Find a private dress maker or go to a different bridal designer.
