Rocor, Fuel card rip off, bogus, and fraudalent practices

Rocor Trucking out of Ok. City, Ok.

I drove for Rocor, for the better part of 7 months, Let's get one thing straight, I was not happy with Rocor, from day one, I had ridden to Ocallah Fl., to "pickup" an abandoned tractor, it was an absolute mess, I cleared it out, cleaned it up, and fummigated it, and before I could get all this done, I was dispatched to get a load in South Fl. At an Orange juice manufacturer.

I don't recall the name of the place. I had already been up, for the most part of 12 hours, in Atlanta, waiting for another driver to take me to get the abandoned tractor, whereuppon I road, and drove to Ocallah the other driver's truck, because he had not had the alloted rest to finish his dispatch, which was around Ocallah, somewhere.

I was dispatched further south, at least another 3 hrs., to get a load of orange juice, as it happened I was about 1 hour late, for the orange juice load, so I rescheduled for the next day. I was on the door, so I dropped the landing gear, and dropped the trailer, I then went to get a bite to eat, and get some well deserved sleep, I laid down, and might have gotten 5 hours sleep, and a message came accross the Qualcom, telling me to pickup a load in Baton Rouge, and was a good 14 or 15 hrs. Away.

I thought that they must have pulled me off the orange juice load, and I typed them a message as to that affect, and was told to go to Baton Rouge, I fired up and took off. My home is in Pace Fl. East of Pensacola, I was aproximately 50 miles out of Pensacola, when lo and behold, a message came across Qualcom, asking if I made the orange juice load, I had driven thru the night, at the dispatchers orders, to be able to get the load in Baton Rouge, the next morning at 4 am, and then I got this message, about the orange juice load. There was more than 10 hrs driving time from the city, where I was to have picked up the orange juice load, to Baton Rouge. The message on the Qualcom, said call me.

As I was about 20 miles out From MIlton, I drove on, then about 5 ninutes later, I got another message, stating "call me, now", so I then stopped at the next Place that I could stop with a phone. This person, who I spoke to, yelled and spoke to me as if I was a child, first he berated me for having missed the dispatch of orange juice, and I told him that I had been up, for the better part of 24 hours, waiting for a ride to get the abandoned tractor, rideing to the location, to get the tractor, and driving the other drivers rig, and getting the truck that I got and drove at least another 3 hours, and missed the orange juice load, by less than an hour, and that I had been told by the night dispatcher, to go to Baton Rouge, for a 4 am dispatch, the next morning., And I told him not to speak to as if I was a child, and to damn sure not curse at me, or they could come and get the truck in Pace, and stick it where the sun doesn't shine... Where as he started back paddleing, and appologised profusedly, and more or less pleaded with me to go on to Baton Rouge, for the load, and I said fine, I will, but I told him, do not talk to me in that tone of voice, or ever curse me again, and he said he was sorry... Blahblahblah. That was the first day I drove for Rocor. I should have quit that day.

During the days that I drove for Rocor, I had to run absolutely illegal, several times, Many times out of Atlanta, the load was not done til 11 pm or later, and my first drop was Tallahassee, between 4 and 5 am. This was just one incident where as the dispatcher, should have rescheduled, and did not do it, and it is a far site farther than a 5 hour drive from Atlanta, to Tallahassee, then unload in Panama City at 9am and Pensacola, by 1 pm. This bs happened all the time, during that period I drove for Rocor, I drove for the better part of 7 months, they ran me to death, I had a friend, of mine ride with me to be witness to this rediculous dispatching.

I had to use my own money, for fuel, due to the fact of computers being down and such, As I had established a pattern if you will, on my trips as to when and where I would fuel up, and as I decided to quit Rocor, I got all my fuelslips together, that I had paid cash for, and turned them in to be reimbursed, while I was at the dropyard, at Atlanta, and was fired because they said that I had attempted to fraudulently get money, from the fuel slips, I never saw the proof, and when they finally did show me the proof, it was a fuel slip, that I had written cash on, then had drawn a line thru, to void the word cash. That was there socalled proof. I know I had turned in 10, and probably more fuel tickets, where I did pay cash, for fuel to deliver their loads, I never saw 1 dime of that legitimate money they owed me, and to this day, have never seen that money. I contested the case, the given day, I waited on the phone long distance, to ok city, for a three way conversation, where Rocor, did not participate in, I don't know why, but they did not participate, in the call, I was told, that we would have to reschedule. We did, where as I missed the call, by 15 minutes, and the case was thrown out because "I" had missed the "call".

That is the way it is and ever remains, those who have, "screw" those that have not. They missed the "call", and it was rescheduled, I missed the call by 15 minutes, and the case was dismissed, no ifs, ands, or butts. I lost, not only a bunch of fuel money, but also a decent, career of driving, a truck, which I loved, driveing, but with Rocor, CDL meant combination driver, lumper, mostly lumper, but a real lumper, got to go home and go to sleep, after working 4 to 8 hrs., unloading a trailer load, not so the Rocor driver, and if you have half a brain, after having read this report, you won't drive for this crappy out fit, known as Rocor. There was an individual, that was part of this bs, but I can not remember his name, but I still remember his face, and one day... Who knows.
