I answered an ad for an at-home admin asst job and received an email from a person claiming to be the Hiring Manager (she said her name was Tiffany Clark) for Insurance-Connected, Ltd based out of the United Kingdom stating the position was filled but she sent me an application.
I filled out the app and sent her my resume; she stated there was another position that was best suited for me. I was offered the position of Key Account Manager and told I was going to be doing collections. I researched the company and found it to be legit, so I signed the contact, a W-4 and registered to their software to begin my work.
I was working with Bank of America with my 'tasks' as given to me by Tiffany, and after being reported to Corporate Security for BOA, I learned that this company was collecting the money fraudulently and my account had been seized. WTF?! I was collecting what I thought was insurance payments???
I was FLOORED. I was hoping to be able to work from home for a second income because I am a single mother of two.instead, what I thought was a legit company is actually a fraudulent company stealing others' money and using people to transport it. I still can't believe it.
If anyone receives any type of communication from a Tiffany Clark or anyone representing Insurance-Connected from the UK, DON'T respond. Its a lie! I'm sorry I ever responded to that posting.: (
