I have had issues as well with Florida Penninsula, I filed a claim on 12-23 (they claim it was on 12-28). I understand the holidays they said they couldn't get inspector out until 1-3, (I was told to turn off water to avoid more damage). So I can't live there, after inspector made it, he said we would have a answer by friday. Well as of 1-23 i called back no answer yet, he said waiting on insr company to respond, I called insr compan. After jumping threw hoops of trying to get correct dept on line and multi tranfers I was told they are waiting on inspectors report (pass the buck is in full affect). I asked insr rep where am I to live I have no running water in my home, her response was sir we have 90 days to review claims if we want. Well after inspector told me nurmous times he was waiting on insr on 1-23 he assured me I would have a answer by that friday. Well 1-31 39days after I contacted them no answer.
