My wife and I decided to change services due to high rates, so we went to Sprint PCS.
Talk about a RIPOFF! Contract indicates 15 day cancellation OK.
(1) After getting the phones, my wife wanted insurance so called in for it. Reply: "you can't insure until activation"; so she waited until activation and tried again. Reply: "you can't insure because you are already activated" Finally after 84 mins of time billed at 40 cents/min, she got insured.
(2) Supposed to be only one activation fee for two phones, we were charged two.
(3) Phone service was horrible. We couldn't hear clearly 50% of calls.
(4) Unsatisfactory customer support.
Finall we decided to cancel; now the clincher!
(5) Seven (7) days after activation, we took phones back to cancel. Cust. Serv was going to charge over $200.00 for deactivation. And, after several attempts of intimidation and then wooing but offering to reduce some of the charges, the rep indicated that we HAD to pay a $171.00 deactivation charge.
Later after considering the results, my wife called again to complain about cancellation fee, she reminded the rep about the 15 day cancellation policy.
To no avail, we still had to pay $121.00 for cancelling two phones for seven (7) days of service.
Sprint pcs - not only does your service suck
so does your customer service!
What a rip off!!!
