After noticing a bogus charge on my credit bill today, I looked back and saw a similar one on my last statement. I had no idea who businessmax was so I did a search and found this site.
I called the 888 number and was told that the rebate I got from vistaprint in essence, signed me up for a free 30 day trial of businessmax. Whatever that is. Then they just start charging you every month for the service.
SAM at their call center SAYS they will refund the current charge but can't do anything about the previous charges. He also admitted that there was FINE PRINT somewhere on some form that detailed that this was going to happen. I asked if he often signed up for FINE PRINT services on purpose. He had no reply.
My credit card company reversed both charges, but I thought I would lend my voice/experience to this site in case others need ammunition to stop flagrant bad business practices like this. I guess the old addage about nothing is for free was fairly correct.
