I contacted resumeprofile.com to get a new resume to help boost the job hunt results. The website states that they will provide a free critique of my current resume. I emailed the address provided on the site and was quickly contacted by Robert Green who told me all these wonderful things the company would do which includes:

I explained that like most people, money is tight so I wanted some assurance that it would be worthwhile. I received several emails with such flowery writing that their service is wonderful, great, etc. I asked for the free critique and after a reminder email a week later, I finally received an email from Robert. What I received was a sales pitch that contained the words "your resume is not good". Great critique! My dog could have done that! I emailed Robert and told him that I had been in sales for many years and that was nothing more than a pitch. I wanted the service and even said I would hand deliver the fee to him, all he had to do was give me one example of how a "bad" line of my resume would be replaced. I also asked about the process, whether or not I would speak with someone to determine if other past experience or responsibilities would be used, etc.
The email I received back from him was horrible. Told me he did not want my business. So tonight, I used their "live chat" feature and posed as several different people and caught him in more lies. I will be glad to go into more detail if someone wishes to contact me. On my last chat I told him that all he had to do was read my email and he would have realized that I wanted the service.instead he told me to go and called me many, many names.
So, ResumeProfile.com is not what it purports to be. There is one lonely guy pretending to be a large company with all of these writers, etc. The address on the website is actually a MailBoxes, Etc. Address. I am glad I did not send in my money first, as I am sure I would not have received anything back. Oh yes, he did state that there is no chance they are a scam as they use PayPal. Let's see, Paypal offers insurance and a dispute resolution service since they have a lot if issues with people paying money and not getting anything in return. So how is the use of Paypal a guaranty? It's not.
