Buyer BEWARE!!! This is $3,000 we are talking about!
This company is VERY VERY convincing that they are just here to help. They will
lie saying they will give you free equipment to give them word of mouth, the
other lie they tell you is you can cancel anytime by mouth and them hide in the
contract for monitoring and hide the 5 Year obligation to pay them every month!
They are not good at calling when there is an error and sometimes even an alarm
and they will fight to stick you with the contract. This is a semi legit SCAM
but a scam non the less. If you agree they have a tech come fast to give no
time to think. They came on a Friday night to give less time to back out. They
say you can change your mind within 3 days so that leaves you with one day
which is Saturday and because they come to your door they know you may have
plans for Saturday sealing the deal! They will not let you back out unless you
take them to court. They don't give 3 grand worth the service it's a rip off
big time if SCAM is overstated but you WILL have REGRET if you sign with them
trust me I am stuck and they suck!!!
I am feeling very regretful being stuck and if I could go back I would run away
screaming. I am considering paying the %80 feeling robbed by the same company
claiming to protect us. I may keep the service for a few months just to have
the reminder to write my experience on every blog or website I can. I noticed
many other people who have fallen into this trap who are posting almost every
detail of my bad experience so I am not alone, maybe there is a class action
suite in this, but I would just rather escape if I can instead of chasing after
"crooks by contract". Very slick guys. I am thankful they inspired me
to buy a huge no soliciting sign
Platinum is no protection they SCAM you by playing word
tricks until you are in a $3,000 5 year contract! They perform a semi legal
robbery, something they claim to prevent is being robbed. They tell you that
your house is "selected" to be a model home to advertise their company
and install "free" equipment and at the very end of the pitch they
slam in the monitoring fee which seems ok because they will tell you you can
get out of it anytime which is NOT the case. They have been reported several
times to the better business bureau and today they will be getting another. I
am posting everywhere I can because people don't deserve this! They are proud
to be the #9 winner of security places haha. BUYER BEWARE! ADT at least spells
it all out and doesn't put their little trap in the fine print. I know I am a
sucker for not reading all the fine print and believing the guy when I asked
"what is this about 60 months?" He replied that it just means the
service will be available at least that long and we can drop them any time.
Well we can if we want to pay %80 of the charges without monitoring service
which unfortunately we are going to do since it is worthless and we can save
the %20. I hope people see this and remember when they come to the door to tell
them NO WAY!!! Good luck
