My husband and I had the misfortune to contact Kevin Valencourt to do some photography of our children. We live in St. Catherines, Ontario and had heard about MHInc Photography from a facebook group.
We contacted Kevin and he agreed to meet us at our home and take photos. The price quoted was decent in comparison to the other local photographers, that much is in his favour.
Upon arriving to our home, Kevin was sweating profusely and looked like he hadn't showered or shaved in days. His body odour was awful but we decided to remain quiet and proceed.
Kevin set up his equipment and asked the family to pose. We had decided upon having the children sitting on a branch of our large oak tree while my husband and I would be standing on either side of the tree.
Kevin seemed disoriented at times, having to run back to his car to grab more items that he'd forgotten. It finally dawned on us that what he was really doing, we think, was trying to look down my daughter's blouse. She was seated at the picnic table and as Kevin passed her during the THREE trips he made for another forgotten item, he looked her way.
He lived up to his name, mostly harmless incorporated but we wondered about the part that isn't mostly.
After waiting almost 20 minutes, Kevin was finally ready to proceed. He seemed agitated with the children who were restless, and certainly could have been more professional.
When we received the final proofs they were decent, the price was decent, but if you have children you may want to look elsewhere. My son also remarked that he thought Mr. Valencourt was staring at my daughter, who is only 10.
