I contacted Dee Gerrish first by telephone to inquire about buying a puppy from her. She posted that she had puppies for sale and me and several of my friends wanted to buy one.
I was very nice to her on the phone and I asked if I could drive to her house to see the puppies and the parents. I also wanted to see where the puppies were being kept and how clean the facilities were. My neighbor raises dogs so I know a little about this.
Dee Gerrish was nasty to me on the phone and told me that I needed to read her policy on her website. She said she does not allow anyone on her property to see the dogs and puppies. I asked her why not and she again told me that is her policy.
I felt that because she doesn't allow anyone to see the pups or the puppy's parents and where they are kenneled, this woman must be hiding something. Everyone I know here in my area who breed dogs always allow people to see the kennels, the dogs and the puppies.
