I have been receiving multiple telephone calls from CCS (Credit Collection Services) since my husband died in 2002. It is now October. They are trying to collect debts made by my step-daughter and her boyfriend. Apparently these two used my telephone number on their credit card applications.
What makes it more aggravating is that I live in North Carolina and my step-daughter and her boyfriend live in Massachusettes. Would not one be suspicious if a credit application filed for in Massachusettes would include a North Carolina telephone number? And to top it off, I don't have any credit cards!
I have been receiving automated phone calls from CCS almost since the moment I laid my husband to rest in 2002. I have explained on more occasions than I care to remember that my step-daughter does not live with me, even though she stayed with me for about 3 weeks after her father died.
I have received no less that 1,000 telephone calls from CCS in the past 8 years and now am at the end of my rope with this company. The supervisor I talked to, Aaron Adams @877-620-6000 said he would remove my phone number from the files, but this same thing has been stated to me over the past 8 years and 1,000 telephone calls.
If anyone has any suggestions as to how I can get these people off my back, I would welcome any responses to this complaint!
