Tecon Water Company shut off my water service even after receiving my payment. The payment was late. I received a disconnect notice stating that my payment had to be in their office by a certain date. I mailed the payment, and they received it in their office on the scheduled cut off date, and still shut my service off. I tried to get through the customer service lines that evening, and all I got for 30 minutes was a busy signal.
When I finally got through, they verified that they had my payment, and if I promised to go the next morning to give them a money order for a reconnect fee, they would send someone out to turn my service back on that evening. No one ever came out to turn my service on. I went the next morning, gave them the reconnect fee and was told that they would send someone out that day to turn my water back on. I got home that evening, and still had no water.
I called the following morning, finally got through the customer service lines, and was told that someone was going out today to turn my service on. They were very sorry. Needless to say, this has been very inconveniencing for my family and me.
We have had to pack a bag for the last 2 nights and find family members to stay with to be able to use the toilet, take showers, etc. This is an outrage!!!
Is there anything that can be done about this company? It's unfortunate that you don't get to choose your water company. You're pretty much stuck with whatever crap company is contracted in your area, and obviously they don't care if you do or do not have water.
They are taking their time turning my water back on, but they sure didn't take their time in sending me another bill!
