Randy was recommended to me through a website developer to shoot, edit and produce a training DVD for my business. Although the initial shooting went well (October) he pressured me to enter into business with him selling these DVDs to outside companies. I only wanted the DVD to accompany the seminars that I present and I still don't have even that!
He consistently refused my input into the editing process instead giving me "final" copy after "final" copy, telling me that everyone else he works with is happy with what he gives to them. When I presented a seminar he insisted in taking my PowerPoint presentation and redoing it on his computer which left out half of the slides and which happened on the day of the presentation!
I told Randy I didn't want to do business with him anymore and as I had already paid him his quoted fee for the DVD I wanted the master tapes to give to another video producer. He didn't answer my e-mails and phone-calls and when he did he complained about how much time, effort and energy (and money) he had put into the process and that I should be grateful for what I had.
I called the local sheriff's department and DA's office which led to voluntary mediation with Randy. He was to have given me the master tapes in January. My new video producer tells me that none of the master tapes is the DVD tape. I confronted Randy who told me his daughter "labeled" the tapes wrong and that he would mail them to me. They never came and so I filed a small claims action against him.
