Throughout 2009 Craig Scherf contacted numerous developers, contractors and landowners in the State of Arizona and took cash deposits in exchange for promises to provide construction funding for numerous developments. The deposits ranged from $2500 - $35,000. The total cash taken was more than $100K of which Craig did not provide funding to a single individual or project. Moreover, Craig Scherf is not a licensed Mortgage Broker. None of the deposits where returned. During this same time period Craig Scherf forged Tom Hale of the previously know Hale Funding Group of Scottsdales name on an LSR in an attempt to secure funding for a project. Copies of the forged document have been forwarded to the Department of Financial Institutions and a formal complaint was filed against his real estate license BR 560481000 with Remarkable Realty - AZ Homes by Craig Scherf LLC and his new license LC631980000 which he holds as an Associate Broker with Elite Commercial. Use extreme caution when doing business with this individual. A list of documents and names of individuals who lost money is available simply by responding to the report.
