We had responded to a Craigslist farm and garden advertisement for tack. We were contacted in return by Hannah Koch, this took place in early and mid November. We ended up purchasing some other items from her that were not listed in the advertisement.
Some time later we were directed to another Craigslist advertisement, claiming that all of the Koch family's tack had been stolen. The list of stolen items included a few of the items that we had purchased from Hannah Koch in the presence of her father Alan Koch.
It has since been reported that they have claimed another individual was in possession of their stolen tack.
We were never provided any receipts to prove our purchase of used tack but do have the email correspondence sent to us during the solicitation to buy interaction.
Hannah and Alan also attempted to interest us in a bay quarter type mare that was obviously green broke only but they claimed that she was kid broke.
It is our opinion that this family is dishonest. We would definitely advise to other consumers a Buyer BEWARE attitude in dealing with these people.
They also authorize a local by the name of Bill Dorman to conduct business on their behalf. To meet and deliver both horses and other items. Please be careful in dealing with this family and their business associates.
