I was shopping for box sets of Law & Order SVU DVD's. I stumbled across www.dvdcollects.com and was pretty excited to find what I was looking for at a very decent price. I guess that should have been my first red flag. They promise to ship within 24 hours within receipt of order. I decided this would work and went forward with purchasing the set. My cost was $89.99 with shipping and taxes, this was also emailed to me for my order confirmation on 10/5/09.
I was told I would recieve a tracking number after my credit card was processed however, after my credit card processed the transaction thru at $92.90 and I still had not recieved a tracking number - I had to email them to request it. The next day I was provided with a tracking number and told to go to www.usps.com to track my item. Upon entering the tracking number it pulled up as invalid. I emailed dvdcollects advising them my tracking number was invalid, they responded by telling me my tracking number again and thanking me for my order and gave me the www.usps.com website (very irritating...) So I waited and tried tracking it the next day - still invalid. I continued to go thru this process of emailing dvdcollects about my concern and frustration with the situation for over a week.
Finally today I recieved an email stating I had to track my item first thru a Chinese Courier Service then 2 days after that then I could track my item on www.usps.com This really upset me because that information should have been given to me immediatley on my initial email request. When I tracked the item as they instructed, I noticed they shipped out my order yesterday! When they promise it would ship within 24 hrs.
I ordered these DVD's on the 5th of Oct I was leaving the country 10/15 and wanted to have these for the plane ride as I have a higher level of anxiety than most frequent flyers. I did not expect my order to take this long to process or to ship.in truth this company charged me more than they invoiced (not by much but that isnt the point to me that is a rip off you should be notified if there are additional charges) they also charged my credit card then waited to ship my item a week later.in turn casuing me to NOT have my dvd's as wished in time for my long plane ride. I am not ranting just b/c I didnt get my way and my dvd's... I just dont think it's lagite to operate in the way this company serviced me. Just in case someone wants to read about an experienced customer... Here you have it!
