When I let you know this tale, please bear in mind my fiance' is just a longterm truck driver and it has been for that previous 15 years WITHOUT ANY incidents-at fault or not to blame. We (my fiance' and that I) hired A - 14' (low-CDL) vehicle (somewhat uncomfortable to generate/trip in because it had more than 190,000 kilometers onto it and fundamentally falling apart because it had super body harm from prior whichever-leases, incidents, etc.) to move a room collection we purchased in Feb (very first time we've actually hired a moving vehicle from anybody). It had been really apparent (and obvious from the pictures he'd obtained) that people were being cheated big style since the item was separated, NOT caved in, dented or 'ruined'. Uhaul charged my charge card over $1500.00 24 hours later following the employee needed us to pay for him $400-$500 money or examine that day-to protect the harm. After I informed Uhaul I'd voiced to my lawyer and questioned how they desired to continue sine the 'damage' state was phony, the supervisor within their corporate workplace in Detroit explained they'd need to first obtain insurance insurer to gauge the 'damage' and proceed from there. HELLOOO? Why was my charge card billed over $1500.00 once the insurer hadn't actually evaluated the 'harm' at that time? Obviously, it's today July and that I am still battling with Uhaul over this phony state. Oh, incidentally, my fiance' includes a relative that use to be always a supervisor for Uhaul (not this identical one) and based on him it had been typical exercise-actually requested to do this-to deliver individuals out in broken automobiles and cost them for that 'harm' they'd allegedly sustained upon their return. He'll deliver an affidavit to courtroom for all of US once we aren't likely to allow this slid by. Please be cautious, particularly with this specific Uhaul shop.
