I received a letter from PaidSurveySources.com out of Las Colinas, Texas, along with what appears to be a legitimate cashier's check in the amount of $2,880. Just like others who wrote about this company, the letter said that I had been randomly chosen to be a company representative in my region for Lamont Systems, Inc.
The letter instructed me to wire money ($2,530) through Western Union to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I was then to complete the survey questionnaire on my experiences with Western Union, and for my time I would keep $300 out of that cashier's check (also included was the cost of the "test transaction" in the amount of $50). The letter included an e-mail address to send the details of my transaction to "Wendy Hues."
After reading what was written here, I will be contacting my local post office and Western Union to report this fraud. I may even contact my local news.
