After receiving a free "Equifax credit report", this service went on to state that they would monitor my credit situations (good or bad on an annual basis).
This was an optional service to be paid for. I turned down the offer by clicking "No Thanks" and yet my credit card was charged $79.95, just like others, specifically Lee from Boyds, Maryland.
I followed his lead in reporting this so this type of practice can be shut down.
