To start, the titling of the job posting is completely false. During the interview, Mike Wheadon (owner of CTF Marketing and Associates) told me I would be representing pro sports teams, CTF was one of the fastest growing marketing companies in the industry, and that there was an ability to grow with the company.
For the record, the job is for a door-to-door sales position. They want an individual willing to walk a minimum of 5 miles a day and lie to honest business owners and their employees about the products CTF is trying to market. As an employee, you use your own vehicle and gas and have to work in whatever location they assign to you. On several occasions, I was assigned to work in areas up to an hour away from the business. Most of the areas were small towns where I couldn't make any money. I actually lost money driving to and from the locations. Also, if you have not caught on yet, the employees do not work with any sports teams.
Most importantly, CTF is not excelling during this rough economic time. They are currently going out of business and laying off employees. From the day I started at this company, employees were quitting left and right. This should have been a red flag for me, but as this is a rough time in the economy, I took whatever I could get. That was a big mistake.
I am posting this complaint to warn others of this company. I fear that they will re-open their doors with a new name and new slogan. Be watchful of the name Mike Wheadon as he is a deceitful businessman. To my knowledge, he will be relocating to Atlanta, Georgia and is associated with CV Marketing. I hope that anyone in that area, or in Florida that applies for his positions takes the time to research him and his previous companies. Please do not make a mockery of yourself by working for this company.
I am ashamed that I did not research the company like I should have before accepting the 'too good to be true' lies.
