We called this "handyman" to check our attic fan in a house we recently bought. He checked the fan and found out that the switch was turned off. We also requested him to checkout the controller of a fan. He told us that it "appeared" that the controller was faulty and would be expensive to replace. We decided not to replace it. And finally, we asked him to see if our AC unit was fine (once again because this is the first time we used the AC in this house). He took out the cover, peeked inside and said everything was fine and put the cover back. For this 15 min work, he charged us $100, which is exorbitant.
