Very similarly to a similar posting on RIPOFF, I enrolled through a promotion via trusted American Airlines. I received the 6-bottle shipment for which I had enrolled. I also received a 12-bottle shipment that perhaps I had ordered, but two days later a SECOND 12-bottle shipment arrived. I telephoned and the clerk looked up my account and said in essence "Oh, there was a mistake, I think you got some free wine"... However, my credit card had been charged.

I wrote to them (and they acknowledged receipt on 15 April) but have not yet received a reply, or a credit. A customer service representative called today, mostly on a sales call to get me interested in other programs, but I took that opportunity to ask her about the challenges and she also looked up my records, confirmed that "Vinesse" and "American Wine Cellars" are all part of a large consoritum of wine clubs, that they had recieved my letter, that they had just sent a "bonus" (but to be paid for) shipment which was in addition to my Club enrollment.

I am thinking this is a big scam and am not at all happy with this company.

The prior reporters' comments about the alleged "Free" gift are also well said, one does not receive the promised gift one selected during enrollment, one gets a card to select a gift at a later date.
