Grant Funding Search had a website that offered a college grant cd for free. You only needed to pay $1.98 for shipping. I am a college student and decided to do this. Today, 4/4/09 I checked my checking account and they removed $69.95. I called them and they stated that when I signed up for the cd I also signed up for them to withdraw $69.95 from my account MONTHLY. I did not read anything on the site that had stated this. I checked the entire cite. Terms and agreements everything. I am a low income family. Had I seen that they wanted to remove this much money from my account, I would not have signed up for the supposed "FREE" cd. I contacted them and they stated it was plainly stated in the terms and agreements and are not willing to return my $69.95 but they can however cancel my membership. I thought this funny because I did not sign up for a membership to anything. After the supervisor finally contacting and I explained to her that I was going to the media about them and I had done some research on them online and found nothing but reports of scams, they decided they could refund my $69.95 in three to five business days.
