Lawton Security, Lawton Security rip-off lazy dishonest lied didn't provide "Security" I'd paid for I worked here it blows

Okay, this guy is about the only security business that has any worth here in Southern Oklahoma, other than Burns (Which seems to be a lot better, you see these guys in Wal-mart's parking lot) and is not worth the money.

First off, he "thinks" he's a police officer. He hangs out with them, does raids with them, etc. I believe this is crap, but hey, to each their own.

Secondly, he offers a fair job to his employees, and it seems so at first. After the training, which is done by Ausley's Security Acedemy (Good place to train), you're automatically hired it seems like. As a matter of fact, Ausley's son offered him as an employer (Lawton Security) and I was hired fairly quickly. When I got on the job, I never got a license (Is this illegal?) and never did for my scope of employment (4 months before I got fed up and quit).

I had to purchase my own equipment, pants, shoes, and whatnot (He gave you one (1) shirt, a badge and a magnetic sign for your car as well as a radio). I had to purchase my mace, night stick, handcuffs, equipment belt, training and etc. Guess what? I was never repaid for any of this. My work pay-rate was 5.75 an hour with gas refunding, I declined it and said I'd pay for gas myself, guess how much he raised my pay too? 6.00 an hour, a whole 25 cents to chunk for gas to do HIS job.

Right, great job. Half of the security officers didn't have equipment when shift changes came and some were disabled, I mean to the point where it looked as if they couldn't even do the job... And these were for the high risk sights.

How was the quality of his guards, you ask? Well, I never met all of them and some did seem "all right" but when 9/11 hit we had to do security for a power plant for fear of terrorist attacks. One fellow I spoke with, who was armed (I was unarmed), stated this to my question. Me: "Hey, you're armed, so does that mean you'll stand down and shoot if a terrorist arrives?

Other Guard: "Hell no, I see a terrorist and I'm going the other way." I never understood why in the hell someone would do this, but hey, there's your quality.

Most of the guards complained, because he paid squat for wages, and many had the same deal as I did for gasoline. I've heard a lot about the way he enforces the security of the community. A woman that worked for him stated to me, "I was working at Taco Bell and a fight broke out, he (The employer/Lawton Security) told me not to do anything.

Well, one guy was lifted over another's head and was thrown to the parking lot, I swore I heard something pop in his back. I maced him and detained him, I was chewed out for it by the employer." Yeah, that's some real security right there, let me tell you.

If you're in southern Oklahoma, stay away from this fellow, he ain't worth it. I can go into other details about this company, but I've probably already given myself away (Hehehe, he knows cops, I've had enough tickets in my life for now). Even a few of my buddies say he's "Money over anything" so what you're buying from him is not worth the paper it's printed on. Oh well, for 'ref his name is Jake Elgersma (I dunno if that's spelled right), he owns Lawton Security (Inc).

Go with Burns Security, at least they seem like they do their job, I know I did when I worked there. It ain't worth it, end story.
