Resume' Pro Writers
Unresponsive exasperating incompetent uneducated

I engaged their services on 12/27/08. I sent a comprehensive copy of my background, experience and education. The fist resume draft was little more than a cut and paste copy of the material I sent them, except that it contained numerous spelling errors. Several of the words from my original were changed in what appeared to be a thesaurus-style manner since the writer mixed verb tenses and confused nouns and verbs and used words that did not match the context. I got the distinct impression that English is not the writers first language.

On 1/8/09, I sent a 16 point critique of the first draft, often dicatating the exact wording that I thought should be employed. The second draft arrived and included only about half of the changes I requested on the critique. Spelling and grammar errors were still frequent.

On the second draft, instead of sending a critique, I inserted my suggestions for changes (including spelling and grammar) right on the draft, in a dark red fond. At this time, I also expressed to Grace Kelly, my assigned support person, my misgivings regarding Abigail Garcia's ability to complete a satisfactory resume'. I recieved no response to this concern.

On the 3rd draft I made the corrections myself and asked my writer to go ahead and put it in the final format. She did so and I approved it as final.By this time, I felt that I had spent as much time writing drafts as my writer did and she never incorporated all of the suggested changes even from the first draft. I felt that there was nothing but more frustration to be gained by continuing to exchange drafts with my writer only to discover more spelling and grammar errors.

Along with the final draft, Abigail included a cover letter. This letter just repeated key statements from the resume', word for word, with a few thesaurus replacements, and contained the characteristic grammar and spelling errors, but I didn't pursue a revision. There is no sense in beating a dead horse.

I'm chalking this up to being over-trusting on my part, but I want to try to prevent some of you others from making the same error.
