Sweepstakes Clearinghouse sent me $400.00 vouchers towards the purchase of their products. I selected the IBM Desktop Computer for my son for his Business management course.
The flyer and claim form indicated that it was $489.95, instructions stated to use the $400.00 voucher and to sign the back of the voucher, and all I would have to pay is $89.95 for the balance.
So I sent out the $400.00 voucher and signed the back of it, and included my $89.95 money order dated, March 17 for the balance towards the IBM Desktop Computer, which is now paid in full.
I called up and asked customer service when will I be receiving my IBM Desktop Computer. She stated; "The reason why you have not yet received your IBM Desktop Computer is because the Computer is retailed for $889.95, minus the $400.00 voucher, minus the $89.95 money order I sent in, which still leaves you with a balance of $400.00, we applied the $89.95 for your Computer on lay-a-way plan."
I said; "I have my receipt and information and it states that all I need to send in is $89.95 for the Computer, it did not state that this Computer is $889.95, I want a refund." She stated; "I'm sorry mam, but I cannot give you a refund, goodbye."
