My boss hired Watermark Plumbing to do some work at his house. The next morning, a person came by our offices to get paid. The invoice seemed high, so I attempted to reach my boss at home and on his cell. I could not reach him, so I paid the invoice by check. Later that day, I talked with my boss and mentioned the invoice. He said that this was not the agreed upon amount and requested the check number so that a stop payment could be placed with the bank.
Today April from Watermark plumbing calls me and tells me Watermark is going to file criminal charges against me since I signed the check and approved the work done. I explained to her that I had nothing to do with approval of the work done, I just cut and signed the check for the invoice submitted.
She went off telling me that she was contacting the state attorney general to report me. She continued to tell me that I worked for a crook and that is she were me she would distance herself from dishonest people.
Bottom line, it appears that Watermark charged my boss $743.00 for 3 hours of work. You do the math. If you come across Watermark Plumbing, run, don't walk, away.
